Our Mission
Pleasant Valley Fire Department exists to serve and protect our neighbors. By prioritizing community education and rigorous training, our firefighters and medical professionals provide dependable, high-quality care. We strive for excellence through efficiency and a steadfast commitment to growing alongside the community we call home.
Our Department
Led by Chief Pete Knudsen, the Pleasant Valley Fire Department (PVFD) is a "combination" agency dedicated to providing seamless, high-level emergency care. We maintain a constant state of readiness, ensuring the community is protected 24/7/365 by a minimum on-duty crew of one Firefighter/Paramedic and one Firefighter/EMT.
Our Team
Our strength lies in our diverse and dedicated personnel:
Professional Staff: 35 highly trained part-time members.
Volunteer Fire Staff: 10 dedicated community volunteers who supplement our fire services. Please contact our department if you have interest in becoming a volunteer firefighter.
Facilities & Fleet
We operate out of a modern, state-of-the-art Fire Station constructed in 2016, designed to decrease response times and house our specialized fleet:
2 Advanced Life Support (ALS) Ambulances
2 Frontline Pumpers (Engines)
1 Brush Truck for wildland and off-road fire suppression
