Overview
The City Prosecutor’s Office is responsible for prosecuting city ordinance violations written by the Pleasant Valley Police, Animal Control and Codes Enforcement Departments. The City Prosecutor is ONLY available during Court dockets. Do NOT contact him on his personal email.
POLICE REPORTS & VIDEO REQUESTS
Copies of accidents, crime reports and incident reports can be obtained at the Police Department 3-7 business days after the report has been made. Reports can be obtained during regular business hours, 8 a.m.to 5 p.m., Monday-Friday. To see if your report is completed, you may contact the Police Department at (816) 781-7373

If you file only on casenet, it will be accepted but not completed
The discovery request will be reviewed by the Prosecutor. Once accepted the request will be forwarded to the police department for processing. You will be contacted once the discovery is complete. It is the responsibility of the requesting party to pick up the discovery from the police department. Discovery requested pursuant to §479.162 RSMo. will not be mailed or emailed to the requesting party.
RECOMMENDATION ON PLEA AGREEMENTS
- Fill out the form online for a recommendation - Only minor traffic
- Companion cases will follow the fine schedule fines/costs
- Insurance will be dismissed if valid at the time and proof is provided
- Send in your payment via check OR by phone with card ($229.75 with card fee's)
- The prosecutor after receiving the payment will provide the defective equipment recommendation
- You will receive the plea agreement for signature via adobe
The Prosecuting Attorney AND the Attorney of record must sign the plea agreement before the agreement can go before the Judge for final disposition pursuant to plea procedures in Rule 37.58. Payment on plea agreements will not be accepted until the Judge has accepted the plea agreement and a judgment is entered.
These requests will be filled out by the prosecutor within 2 weeks and sent back to the attorney for signature.
