Pleasant Valley Board of Aldermen
Special Board Meeting
February 23, 2009
The special board meeting of the Pleasant Valley Board of Aldermen was called to order on Monday, February 23, 2009 at 5:45 p.m. by Mayor Dennis Todd.
Present were: Ammon, Maroon, Donnini, Jurado, Phillips, Bolinger and Mast. Smith absent. Also present were: Chief Daum, Director of Public Works Tammy Ammon, Chief Stinson and City Treasurer Rob Jones.
After discussion, Chief Stinson will review the bids received for bunker gear and the board will take the recommendation from the fire department under consideration for a contract and ordinance form on Monday, March 2, 2009.
Donnini moved, second by Maroon to accept the six-month financial statement per the period ending December 31, 2008. Discussion followed. Donnini amended his motion, Maroon amended his second to accept the six-month financial statement with fund balance information removed, negative balances shown in parenthesis and the total City investments column moved to the far right. Yeas: Phillips, Jurado, Bolinger, Ammon, Donnini and Maroon. Nay: Mast. Smith absent. Motion passed.
Donnini moved, second by Maroon to publish the six-month financial statement for period ending 12/31/08 at a cost not to exceed $250.00 in the Tribune/Dispatch and post it on the City’s web-site. Yeas: Phillips, Ammon, Bolinger, Jurado, Mast, Donnini and Maroon. Smith absent. Motion passed.
Donnini moved, second by Maroon to pass on the first and place on the second Bill NO. 2908. Discussion followed with Alderwoman Jurado questioning the variance/disparity between the submitted bids. The issue of the current economy as well as the recommendation from the City of Gladstone was noted.
Alderwoman Mast asks if anyone has any direct relationship with ReddiServices. Negative responses were given by all. Yeas: Phillips, Jurado, Bolinger, Mast, Ammon, Donnini and Maroon. Smith absent. Motion passed.
Bill NO. 2908, an ordinance authorizing an agreement for sewer cleaning services. Donnini moved, second by Phillips to pass Bill NO. 2908 as Ordinance NO. 2907. Yeas: Mast, Jurado, Bolinger, Ammon, Maroon, Phillips and Donnini. Smith absent. Motion passed.
Donnini moved, second by Maroon to adjourn. Yeas: Bolinger, Mast, Ammon, Jurado, Phillips, Donnini and Maroon. Smith absent. Motion passed.
